AAVE Whales Dump $35.5M in Tokens

17.10.2025 11:06

Drawing information from internet sources, the cryptocurrency Aave [AAVE] has recently encountered significant downward pressure, a stark contrast to its peak of $264 just four days prior, consequently plummeting to a low of $210. As of the current moment, AAVE is exchanging hands at $214, a figure reflecting an 11.57% decrease within the last 24 hours and a substantial 21.91% dip over the preceding seven-day period.

This persistent price erosion has unfortunately exacerbated investor sentiment, fostering a climate of panic selling, a phenomenon particularly pronounced among substantial token holders, often referred to as "whales." Interestingly, following a fleeting market effort to rebound from a recent price collapse, AAVE witnessed a marked escalation in whale-related transactions. Data from CryptoQuant highlights a seven-day streak of elevated spot average order sizes, indicating a sustained engagement by major stakeholders in the spot market.

Further substantiating this observation, on-chain analysis has identified specific instances of these significant transactions; according to Lookonchain, one prominent whale divested 88,227 AAVE tokens, realizing approximately $19.89 million. Concurrently, EmberCN reported that another long-term whale withdrew and subsequently sold 70,000 AAVE for $15.62 million. Cumulatively, these two major players offloaded a combined total of 158,227 tokens, generating roughly $35.51 million. Such aggressive selling during a downward trend often serves as a potent bearish indicator, signaling a deficiency in market conviction and historically preceding further price declines.

Unsurprisingly, as substantial holders began to exit their positions, smaller-scale investors have also opted to join the sell-off, a common occurrence in market dynamics. Data from Coinalyze reveals that AAVE has experienced a negative spot delta for six consecutive days, underscoring the widespread selling activity observed across various investor segments.
